What is the Loan Program?
The Atlanta Micro Fund (AMF) Loan Program was designed for individuals with a business or business idea that needs financial assistance with enhancing or expanding the business, or making the business idea a reality. The micro loan program is a revolving loan fund that provides loans from $100 to $10,000 to businesses. This loan program has created or retained 148 jobs since its inception.
How does the Program Work?
Individuals who are interested in the loan program must complete the AMF Loan Application Package. An AMF Staff member then reviews this package. If the loan application package meets the program underwriting standards, a staff member will present the loan application to the AMF loan committee for approval.
Who is eligible for the Program?
You are eligible to apply for a loan if you:
* Are at least 18 years of age * Live in the 13 county metropolitan Atlanta areas * Have an annual household income that is less than or equal to $100,000 * Have a business idea or existing business. (Revenues for existing business cannot exceed $250,000).
How do you apply for a loan?
Everyone interested in applying and securing a micro loan must attend a weekly orientation session. These sessions are offered in the Atlanta Micro Fund office. The office is located at 675 Ponce de Leon Avenue, NE, City Hall East, 1st Floor, One Stop Capital Shop, Atlanta, Georgia 30308. The orientation is offered every Tuesday at 11:00 AM and 6:30 PM.
